CHAMONIX PARAPENTE is a SARL* whose role is to connect sports and free flight professionals with customers. These professional pilots are self-employed, fully qualified, registered and fully insured. The professional pilot takes charge of the running of the activity in its entirety. The execution and supervision of the activity is the sole responsibility of the professional(s) pilot(s) in charge of the said activity. The customer may not bring any action whatsoever directly against SARL CHAMONIX PARAPENTE once the professional(s) have accepted responsibility for the service/ activity. In order to best organise your paragliding flight in the best possible conditions, it is advised to book at least 48 hours in advance.

Terms and conditions for reservations and cancellations terms, fall under the provision for Leisure services under article L.121-20-4 of the consumer code. However not all the activities and services offered on this website are subject to the right of withdrawal provided in articles l.121-20 of the consumer code.

Subsequently, the provision of leisure services purchased from this site are exclusively subject to the cancellation terms and conditions below:

CONDITIONS FOR THE TANDEM ACTIVITY:

The services/activities are payable in full in advance. CHAMONIX PARAPENTE reserves the right to cancel the services up to the last moment and without prior notice, for safety reasons following the decision of the pilot/supervisor. Activities cancelled by us are fully refundable, otherwise postponed or converted into gift vouchers according to the customer's request.

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER: Cancellation of your flight is possible up to, but no less than 24 hours before your appointment without need for reason or proof. Your payment will be refunded with a penalty of 15% of the total amount paid to cover administrative costs. After this period, your flight will be charged at 100%, except in the event of serious illness, accident or death. On this occasions medical proof is required.

CONDITIONS FOR INTERNSHIPS:

For the reservation, a deposit of at least 30% is required by the customer. CHAMONIX PARAPENTE reserves the right to cancel the services up to the last moment and without prior notice, for safety reasons following the decision of the supervisor. In case of total cancellation, the full deposit is refunded. In the event of cancellation during the course, CHAMONIX PARAPENTE will adapt the invoicing according to the duration of service provided.

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER: The cancellation of your course is possible on your own initiative, but you will lose the deposit paid when booking (price of one day of course) within a limit of 15 days prior to the start of the course. After this period, the entire course is due.

Full reimbursement will be effective in the event of serious illness, death, accident, loss of employment, upon proof.

CONDITIONS FOR GIFT VOUCHERS:

A gift voucher is valid for 2 years from the date of issue. It is non transferable. A refund is possible in the event of serious illness, accident or death and upon written proof of the customer, named on the gift voucher. Refund of the original payment will be made with a deduction of 15% of the total amount to cover administrative costs. Refunds are available only within the time frame the voucher is valid. It is possible to add an extra year of validity to the gift voucher, bringing its validity to 3 years from the date of purchase. Paragliding is a free-flying aerial activity that depends entirely on meteorological and aerological conditions and on the operation of the “Compagnie du Mont-Blanc” ski lifts. A flight can therefore be canceled at any time if the above conditions are not met. The client is responsible for making and keeping the initial appointments.

SARL CHAMONIX PARAPENTE cannot be held responsible for late bookings past the due date of the voucher which might result to failure to fulfil the voucher due to unfavourable weather conditions and /or closure of the ski lifts.

CHAMONIX PARAPENTE uses a secure payment platform called STRIPE. For your security and confidentiality for authentication STRIPE uses proven cryptography techniques via the SSL protocol and complies with the various banking regulations applicable in France.

*SARL equivalent to Private Limited Company
